ROSCO mix old and new at Coach and Bus Live 2015
ROSCO set out to show the passenger transport industry that it’s 60 years young this December by having a vehicle display for the first time at the recent Coach and Bus Live show at the NEC
To set the context for the anniversary, the vehicle on display was a 1950 Bristol L/ ECW service bus originally operated by Crosville Motor Services in Chester. At the time of the inception of ROSCO, Crosville were part of the state -owned Tilling transport group – one of the founding organisations behind the safe driving award scheme.
But bringing things right up to date, stand staff were able to tell visitors about the brand new ROSCO website and the road safety films for young people that feature on the site and that can be used by member companies for their own use..
It was a very busy show with a great number of interested visitors to the stand. Thanks to the Wythall Transport Museum for the loan of the vehicle. Visit their website www.wythall.org.uk for more information on their special events held throughout the year.
